Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.

Dear Life Scout,
Congratulations. You’ve worked hard in scouts and have earned a very high distinction in becoming a Life scout. Troop 81 is proud of all you have accomplished. Continue working on your merit badges and providing leadership to your troop. Should you decide to complete your Eagle, we will support you in every way possible. Your first step should be to discuss your goals with me, your Eagle Advisor. I can provide you with the contact information you will need within our troop and the district. We can discuss your ideas and goals. I have guided many young men through this process and can be a helpful resource.
It is critical that you follow proper procedure. Use the following list to guide you in your next step.
Sequence of Approval for Eagle Scouts
Once you reach the step where you must write a description of your project, a workbook has been created by the Boy Scouts of America to help organize your proposal. You must download theĀ Eagle Workbook and save it to you own computer where you can begin filling in the content. The workbook and application are so much more readable if you type as much as possible rather than a handwritten version. Of course if you don’t have a computer, you can print this at your library.
Before completing the Eagle Application, ask your advancement chair for a printout of your scout advancement history. All the dates requested in the Eagle application will be specified in this report and you will complete it much more effeciently. Again, save the application to your computer before you begin filling out the content.
Persevere on your journey ahead,
Mrs. Kelly
